Microsoft Servers and Active Directory

Kiandra has a solid implementation and support track record for the Microsoft suite of Server products, including Windows Server through to Small Business Server.

Kiandra employs Microsoft certified engineers that have advanced knowledge of critical server technologies like Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy. Kiandra's in-depth understanding of these technologies provides our clients with flexible, scalable and robust network environments.

Microsoft Exchange

Kiandra designs, develops and implements small, medium and enterprise level Exchange solutions. Whether it is a single server, multiple redundant servers or server clusters, our engineers can structure a robust and uniform solution to securely share messaging and collaboration data from anywhere in the world.

Kiandra can implement a solution which takes full advantage of the features of Exchange, including information store database and log optimisations, multiple stores for redundancy and RPC over HTTP for secure remote access to Exchange data. In addition, Kiandra specialise in Exchange information store recovery, maintenance and migrations.

Networking and Cisco specialisation

Kiandra employs Cisco certified networking experts who excel in IP technologies, routing, switching and network security. We are skilled at providing remote access solutions including ISDN PRI based dial-in, VPDN access concentrators or VPN gateways and RADIUS authentication and billing systems, as well as wireless solutions.

Kiandra engineers are able to integrate new IP infrastructure with your legacy systems using protocol tunnelling, protocol redistributions, vLANs and end-to-end Quality of Service. We are adept at developing custom solutions using a wide range of networking technologies.

Using advanced security devices such as the Cisco PIX and ASA - Adaptive Security Appliance - family of firewalls, Kiandra engineers can provide you with flexible and reliable Internet gateway services allowing for multi-site and remote user VPNs, DMZ network segments, Intrusion Prevention Signatures and QoS.

Find out what's really happening on your network by implementing inexpensive network monitoring solutions. Using open source tools, Kiandra utilises graphical interfaces and structured reporting to detail network usage, security threats and identify problem users.

Citrix and Terminal Server solutions

Kiandra's terminal and remote access solution team design and support client sites incorporating single server solutions, multiple server farms, and redundant/load balanced farms using SQL replication with multiple zones. In addition, we have extensive experience implementing and supporting redundant/load balanced secure gateway implementations, accessible securely via the web. Full customisation of the Secure Gateway environment is possible, from the web interface to the automated client download to the web browser.

We have also implemented a range of customised client configuration solutions from Linux network boot images to the latest in thin-client and handheld based equipment. Our solutions incorporate secure lock-down of the user environment, custom design of the user screens and user application optimisation as required.

Software Services

Microsoft .NET Technologies

The .NET Framework is a development and execution environment that allows different programming languages & libraries to work together seamlessly to create solutions that are easier to build, manage, deploy, and integrate with other systems.  Through constant progression, Kiandra has been able to reinforce its software development and project methodologies by using Microsoft's .NET framework and technologies.

Kiandra is able to provide development and consulting services in all areas of the Microsoft .NET framework including Visual Basic.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services and now Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).

Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services (OLAP) and MDX

Kiandra has the experience and ability to provide extensive business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions to both small and large organisations, including reports, customised report initiation application front-ends and custom assemblies for Microsoft Reporting Services.

Kiandra also has technical expertise in OLAP cube reporting using MDX queries through Microsoft Analysis Services.

In addition, Kiandra actively participates in Microsoft's international beta testing program.

Data Warehousing, Data Mining Services

With Kiandra's ability to gather, analyse and manage information, we're able to provide an end-to-end solution via the facilitation of a data warehouse and/or using one or more individual databases or database instances.

SQL Server

Working closely with SQL server over the years has resulted in a solid knowledge of SQL server design and application performance enhancements, including hardware and redundant system configuration, replication, performance tuning, index, query and stored procedure optimisation.  In addition, we can provide DBA support roles for your organisation.

Multi-Tier (n-tier) Architecture

Throughout Kiandra's history we have always placed a heavy emphasis on accessibility, maintainability, scalability and security on all infrastructure and software which we've built and/or designed.

This approach allows for high security risk information to be stored in a secure and separate location where only selected people, systems or particular software components have access.

In addition, it allows for the proper segmentation of solution layers to maintain business logic, data access and the interface in isolation without affecting the other layers.

Legacy Software Systems

Kiandra understands that many businesses develop and/or require support to existing systems which were developed in older legacy languages, such as Visual Basic 3 through to 6, ASP, Microsoft Office VBA and particularly Access, etc.

For this reason, Kiandra continue to not only support these systems, but can continue further development or migrate these systems to .NET technologies if required.
